Stan & Marnie have been missionaries in The Netherlands since 1993. In 2007 they planted a Dutch spo¬ken Calvary Chapel in Nieuw Vennep, a suburb located 25 km South-West of Amsterdam. Stan’s vision for this church is to be a strong base from which saints will be equipped for the work of ministry. The aim for these saints is to learn to serve and to be sent out to establish more Calvary Chapels in The Netherlands. Stan’s dream is, if the Lord tarries, to see 25 Calvary Chapels planted in The Netherlands. A second church was planted in May of 2019.

At the time of writing, August 2026, Stan and Marnie find themselves in a different season of life and ministry. Marnie was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease. Stan has transitioned out of the full-time pastoring of the church to pastoring Marnie. As of January 1, 2026 Stan became pastor emeritus.

In this new role Stan preaches on an ad-hoc basis and is working on handing the church over to the new Sr. Pastor in January 2027 (CCH’s 20th anniversary), whom he has discipled and raised up over the past 19 years. Stan will continue to serve as an advisor to the leadership team and will continue to spearhead various ministries that are able to be combined with Marnie’s care.

The Lord has tasked Stan to teach an Introduction to Calvary Chapel course, putting together and training a soul-care (biblical counseling) team, counseling, and mentoring men outside of our tribe in expository preaching. God has also opened new doors for the Gospel in the realm of helping fellow sufferers (and their caregivers) of neurodegenerative diseases.
