City: Amsterdam
State/Prefecture:
Country: NETHERLANDS

I was born and raised in Los Angeles California. Both parents were Raised Orthodox Jews but raised us liberally Jewish. In the early 1970’s I moved to Orange County though I still worked in L.A. At my work I came in contact for the first time with Christian believers 4 different brands! They would witness to me, but I would tell them I’m Jewish, we don’t believe in Jesus! I think they prayed for me anyway! Fast forward a couple of years, to 1974 as my life was falling apart and really wasn’t working for me, they said “you should check out that church near you” I used to drive past CCCM and see hundreds of hippies and young people coming out, I wondered what was going on in there, and thought it must be something good! Around the same time (Easter time) there were movies about the life of Jesus on TV which I watched and thought I need what He’s offering! Shortly after that I went to a Saturday night concert at CCCM and really liked it! I started going Friday. Saturday, and Monday nights, and eventually went forward to give my life to Jesus! Once I did that my life was changed! Everyone could see something changed.

Once I got saved, I began singing and writing Worship songs. I became part of a home bible study and started leading worship that led to other home bible studies, College and Career, Women retreats, Chucks Sunday night study. It was at a women’s retreat that I got called into missions. Six months later, April 1980, I quit my job and moved to Amsterdam and started to work with Musicians for Missions (YWAM).

I have been using my musical and communication gifts ever since! Been involved in and supported Evangelistic events on the streets of Amsterdam, Been one of the Worship leaders /Musicians on the worship team in the church. Have Led as a guest worship leader in other churches in Holland and tried to respond to what the Lord sets before me!

Currently, I live in a part of Amsterdam (North) that is separated by the I channel and often considered not to be Part of Amsterdam! It has a negative reputation and is often overlooked as being a real part of Amsterdam! Before I moved here people would say “Oh! That’s a bad area; you don’t want to live there.” But God had another perspective.

So, when you think about Amsterdam think about me, the church in North, the neighborhood I live in and those who need to know the God who created them!
