Our Missionaries

My name is Tyler Cabrera, I grew up in Old Greenwich, CT and currently live in Cabo San Lucas Baja California Sur, Mexico. I grew up as a fisherman working in Florida and Connecticut in the summer months. I went to school at the University of Miami down in Florida. I went on a vacation to Cabo with my mother Debbie and sister Katie when I came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ November 4, 2012. He saved me at a Christian rehabilitation center for men and women in drug addiction. I’ve lived here for over 6 years and attend Calvary Chapel Puerto Seguro Los Cabos with Pastor Garrie Price and his wife Jackie Price. They are also missionaries with “Go”.

I’ve been called to the mission field and have been volunteering at the centers for addiction all throughout the area. I also help at comedor cactus which is a kitchen to help feed the children. My prayers are if the Lord wills it to help kids and adults learn how to fish not just for fish but for men as well. Starting with basic fishing techniques from the shore and intertwining the Word of God to help teach basic evangelism. I’m also sensing the calling on the surf as well, the Lord has ordained many divine appointments out there surfing and I would love to teach some of the youth how to surf. I will be starting a Bible study on the beach (Bible on the beach) every Tuesday going chapter by chapter, verse by verse. I lead studies at the rehab centers, as well as at our men’s group on Saturday, and in the past on Wednesday nights at the church.

I look forward to the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ, until that day may we all remain occupied doing the work of the Lord. May all the praise and glory be to Him.
