“Early this morning at 6:00 AM (March 9, 2026,) I had surgery on my left arm. The need for this surgery developed after many years of physical work in ministry. When I was 13 years old, I began serving with Operation Mobilization during the summers. We organized book fairs as an outreach across Sudan until 1996 when I came to the US. And for 25 years a large part of the ministry has involved distributing Bibles and gospel tracts. I have carried many boxes of Scripture and gospel materials, especially during the last two years in California, I had to move so so many boxes. In addition, I often drove three to four days each week from Apple Valley to Anaheim for ministry activities, which sometimes required more than two hours of driving each way.
About four years ago, I began experiencing numbness in my left hand. My doctor recommended surgery some time ago, but I delayed it because I did not have the financial resources to cover the medical expenses, and my blood sugar levels were high. Recently, however, the doctor warned that without surgery I could lose the function and grip of my left hand. A nerve near my elbow had become trapped between two bones, which caused the problem.
