Our Missionaries

Hello everyone,

In 2009 I, Christopher Bouget, first visited Japan to go sightseeing and help with Grace Christian Fellowship’s summer VBS program in Oume, Tokyo. After this I felt strongly that I should return to serve as a missionary alongside those I met.

In November 2013, I moved to Oume where I worked at the church’s international school and began to minister by working the church’s Sunday media and Bible studies. In 2015, I wed my wife Anna, who had already served at Grace since 2009. We continue to serve at Grace Christian Fellowship (GCF) alongside our four, soon-to-be five children: Sage, Xavier, Amber, Hazel, & Baby Bouget.

Both Anna and I enjoy helping with the worship service at GCF. Along with her singing, Anna ministers as one of our church’s Sunday school teachers and is involved with the full-time ministry of being a mother and wife. At GCF I am part of the media team and occasionally preach on Sunday evenings. However, what I enjoy most is teaching and facilitating Bible studies. Recently we’ve finished going through the book of Acts, and with God’s grace, we will begin a study through the Gospel of Luke soon.

As for my work, I have worked at All Nations Art Community (ANACOM) for roughly six years as an English teacher. Along with this, over the last 7 years, I’ve been blessed with an opportunity to teach youths here in Oume who are involved with an intercultural enrichment program. It’s been incredible to be a part of these kids’ lives and every year I have been able, even given permission, to share the Gospel with them and their parents during the organization’s Christmas program.
